In the latest app update, we’ve improved how you can add daily allowances based on user feedback. You can now add multiple stops to your trip, and the app will automatically calculate the daily allowance based on how many travel days the trip lasts.

What is the travel period?

A travel day refers to a period of up to 24 hours that begins when the employee leaves their workplace or home to go on a business trip. The travel day ends when the employee returns from the business trip to their workplace or home.

The daily allowance is based on the number of full or partial days of travel:

  • More than 10 hours → full-time allowance
  • 6-10 hours → part-time

With the new update, adding daily allowances now works like this:

1. Select the start date of your trip
2. Select the departure time
3. If you travelled outside Finland, click on the "Travelling outside Finland" button. Once the information has been added, click "Next"
4. Select the end date of your trip
5. Select the end time and click "Next"

6. Add the first destination you travelled to
7. If there were several stops on your journey, press "AAdd the following address" and enter the address of each stop in order. Add the last destination you arrived at
8. Enter the purpose of the trip
9. Add the other days in the same way if necessary and press "Next"
10. Add a more detailed description of the purpose of the whole trip
11. Choose whether the per diem will be charged to the customer and add the per diem by pressing "Confirm"
