A commission agreement is a safeguard between the light entrepreneur and the customer. Read why it is always advisable to draw up a written agreement and what should be agreed upon in it.
Before starting work, always draw up a written agreement. Although a verbal agreement is valid, a written contract is your best protection against misunderstandings.
What should be included in the agreement?
Agree with the customer on at least the following:
Job description: What do you do and what is the desired outcome?
Schedule: When does the work need to be completed?
Price and payment terms: Is it an hourly rate or a fixed price? Is VAT added to the price?
Reimbursement of expenses: Does the customer pay for travel or materials separately?
Termination: How can you terminate the agreement if things don't work out?
When everything is clear-cut, you can focus on your work with peace of mind.
