Getting sick is always unpleasant, especially when you are self-employed. Here are instructions on what to do:
Inform the customer: Tell the customer about the situation immediately. Openness is important so that you can agree on transferring the work or arranging a substitute.
Income during sick leave:
If you have YEL insurance: You can apply for sickness allowance from Kela after the waiting period. The amount of the allowance is based on your YEL earned income.
If you do not have YEL insurance: You are entitled to Kela's minimum daily allowance after the waiting period, unless you have other income.
If it was a work-related accident (you were injured while performing your duties), Truster's accident insurance may cover your medical expenses and loss of income. In this case, please contact our customer service immediately!
