How do I create an invoice?

Here's how to create an invoice Truster in just a minute. Follow these easy steps to add a customer, send an invoice, and monitor payments.

Truster, you can take care of billing right after your gig, even on the bus ride home. Follow these instructions to keep your money flowing smoothly:

  1. Open the app and get started: Make sure you have the latest version Truster. Click the "Create invoice" button on the home page.
  2. Select customer: Select the customer to be invoiced from the list, or add new customer details. You can invoice Finnish or foreign companies, as well as private individuals. The app remembers your previous customers, so next time you can do this with a single tap.
  3. Define the basic invoice details: Check that the payment terms and due date are as agreed (usually 14 days for companies). Select the correct VAT rate – in most cases, this is the standard rate of 25.5%.
  4. Record your work clearly: Add lines to the invoice and write a clear description of the work done (e.g., "Window cleaning 3 hours"). A clear invoice is easy for the customer to accept and pay. Remember to mark the price and unit correctly.
  5. Add expenses and travel: Did you incur any expenses during the gig, or did you drive your own car? Add any travel allowances and expenses to the invoice at this stage so that you can receive them tax-free when your salary is paid (if the customer reimburses them).
  6. Check and send: When everything looks good, send the invoice on its way! We will check the invoice again before it is sent to make sure everything is in order. You can track the status of the invoice and the arrival of the payment in real time in the app.
