Are you becoming more active on social media and content creation feels more natural to you? At first, sharing content was just a hobby, until the first collaboration proposal pops up in your inbox and you should charge for the first collaboration! JAIKS!

In this situation, you have several options to invoice your cooperation, but the easiest way to do this is definitely light entrepreneurship. As a light entrepreneur, a somebeneffector can invoice collaborations without a Y-identity. So, under the first commercial collaboration, you don't have to start your own business name right away, but can start lightly and risk-free as a light entrepreneur.

What do I do when I want to invoice my first cooperation as a light entrepreneur?

The first step is to choose the billing company that suits you best. There are many billing services on the market, so you should consider the reliability of the service, the price, insurance and any additional services. Read more about choosing a billing service.

Once you have chosen your billing service, register as a user and start billing your collaborations. The billing service will take care of all your legal fees and obligations, leaving you, as an influencer, more time to focus on what matters most - producing content.

Taxation of sommeliers

Influencers have to pay taxes on their work, both on cash wages and on gifts and special discounts. Companies send free products to influencers in the hope of gaining visibility. Tax must be paid on such promotional gifts. An exception is made for ordinary promotional gifts of up to €50 in value, for which no visibility is agreed. For tax reporting purposes, the light entrepreneur should keep a record of the gifts. The tax on product gifts is calculated on the actual value of the benefits received; for example, the value of a product is the price if you were to buy it yourself.

As a light entrepreneur, income tax is easily paid through the invoicing service, as taxes are automatically deducted from the amount of the invoice sent, according to the tax card. Truster The invoicing service automatically receives the tax card from the tax authorities.

Tax deductions as a symbiotic effect

As a light entrepreneur, even a social media influencer can claim tax deductions. If you do not have your own business ID, you can declare your purchases and expenses on your personal tax return as income tax deductions. However, as a light entrepreneur, tax deductions are more limited compared to a person with a business ID.

Typical tax deductions are small purchases that a contributor needs for content production. Purchases such as a computer, camera and telephone are deductible if the contributor uses them in the course of his or her work. In addition, equipment, software and tools used directly for work are also deductible.

One typical tax deduction for influencers is the deduction for office space. In addition to the office deduction, an influencer can deduct any insurance and an internet connection. An influencer's work may include visits to clients, in which case travel expenses are also tax deductible.
